Z Button: Hold down to lock on to an enemy within range. You will automatically block attacks.

Beat Attack

B Button: Performs a Beat Attack. Perform a Charged Beat Attack by holding the B Button down and then releasing it. You can grab and throw a stunned enemy. Also used to cancel entries in menus.

Recharge

1 Button: Charging mode for your Beam Katana. Charge it by shaking the Wii Remote.

Finishing blow

Finish off a downed enemy by pressing the A button.

Weapon Clash

When two weapons clash, repeatedly trace a circle with your Wii Remote to knock back the enemy.

Dodging

When locked on to an enemy, dodge attacks by pressing Left, Right or Down. Important for dodging those special attacks.
