Suda 51

Suda51■ Goichi Suda aka Suda51

Born in 1968, Goichi Suda is the CEO of grasshopper manufacture, the developers of No More Heroes. But why’s he called Suda 51? That’s not difficult to explain! The "51" in his nickname, SUDA51, is a play on Japanese words. "Go" means 5 and "ichi" means 1.

His work includes Moonlight Syndrome, The Silver Case and the infamous Killer7.

Suda san (Japanese for mister!) joined Human Co., Ltd. as a planner in 1993. He made his debut as director for the game Super Fire Professional Wrestling III FINAL BOUT in 1994 and then moved onto produce Super Fire Professional Wrestling SPECIAL in 1995. The game sparked a controversy because of its unconventional story and additional scenario mode.

Suda51 was in charge of the storyline and the creative direction of Moonlight Syndrome after directing Twilight Syndrome-Search in 1996 and Twilight Syndrome-Investigation in 1997. He established a style that interweaves various elements such as psycho horror, suspense and modern manners into an adventure game.

In 1998, Suda51 established his own development company, grasshopper manufacture Inc. grasshopper manufacture Inc. released The Silver Case in 1999. Again he was responsible for both the storyline and the creative direction. Two years later grasshopper manufacture Inc. released Flower, Sun, and Rain.

In 2005, grasshopper manufacture Inc. released Killer7, an innovative title totally synonymous with the word originality. The title garnered accolades from around the world upon release.

NO MORE HEROES, Suda51’s next epic release and published by Rising Star Games, will be available throughout Europe in late February 2008!
